Wherever we are, and recognising our differences, we acknowledge that we all belong to the universal family.
For 15 minutes we are mutually invited to our family gathering as we sing and receive the blessing of BABA NAM KEVALAM and to feel peace in our hearts.
***For a few people the event will be on the 21st October 2019 because we will all sing the same mantra, BABA NAM KEVALAM, and the same melody, at exactly the same time, for 15 minutes around the globe.
See here for your local time – note: time in Paris, France is 20th October from 14.00 until 14.15
Everyone can join in wherever they are, alone or with friends. Everyone who takes part will enjoy a unique experience. After the event is finished one may, for example, take some time for meditation or contemplation or for singing more kiirtan or spiritual songs of your choice.
BABA NAM KEVALAM – THE UNIVERSAL MANTRA (1,2)
THE MEANING OF THIS UNIVERSAL MANTRA, BABA NAM KEVALAM, IS, “ONLY THE DIVINE UNCONDITIONAL LOVE IN ALL PLACES, PERMEATING ALL BEINGS AND ALL THINGS TO INFINITY.”
The power of such a vibrated mantra, sung at exactly the same time, to exactly the same melody, helps us to connect to our own deeper selves and to recognise the Divine heritage we share with one another. Vibration automatically connects to wherever else that same vibration is being created. In other words when we sing Baba Nam Kevalam to the same melody and in the same key, in Reykjavík in Iceland, we automatically connect to those singing the same mantra and melody in Malta, in Croatia, Syria, South Africa, California, Tiljala in India and so on.
So even if we sing alone, we are lovingly connected to all others also singing with us, in complete Unconditional Love.
UNCONDITIONAL LOVE creates such a powerful heart connection that all thoughts of war disappear from our minds. This increased awareness of being a part of each other, nurtures our desire to be part of One Created Family, taking care of each other in a selfless manner, to the mutual benefit and joy of all.
We have openings for volunteers to help organise local gatherings for this event. If you are interested have a look at our charter below and see if it suits for you. We also welcome any questions or suggestions you may have. You can contact us by leaving a comment, or in a private message to the facilitator Fiola Kidd
Our event is free and open for everyone, including our animal friends! We know that there are those who would like to, and also have the means, to make a financial contribution. We may suggest a charity for that purpose. However please feel free to donate to one of the rescue groups we highlight on our community page or to an animal charity of your choice.
We support farms that work ecologically and humanely with their animals.
DEMAND INTEGRITY IN FARM WORKERS:
BY
DEMANDING INTEGRITY FROM OUR POLITICIANS – ask your local and national politicians which laws they will implement AND follow up, to ensure animal welfare and transparency for all.
Finally we want to address the horrific animal cruelty committed by certain practises and also by certain cruel persons who have been allowed to work with animals.”
“It is only with the heart that one can see clearly,
What is essential is invisible to the eye”
Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS SO BE “GREAT BY YOUR SADHANA, SERVICE AND SACRIFICE” P.R.Sarkar
Sadhana means nourishing our soul and honouring the sacredness of our life.
DO I HAVE TO DO ANYTHING?
Humanity, composed by those who have human bodies, is a very diverse group of beings.
We can read about those who give their all for their fellow human beings, and indeed for the benevolent care towards our animal family and the health of our planet.
However we also read about those who honour no moral fabric and where exploitation and their own questionable “needs” are all that matter to them.
If we believe that we live several lives, and also the scientific theory on evolution (4), i.e.that we evolved from animals, is it possible to conceive that some individuals, although having a human body, may be limited in their ability to respond to life events.
Similarly, could there be animals, exposed to a caring human environment who develop personas and behaviours, normally associated with the more developed and complicated species of the human being? (5)
Is their a “sliding scale” in the evolution of life?
We don’t expect an individual with no legs to walk. Why would we expect a morally deficient being to behave with moral integrity?
N.B. The less knowledge a person has or is capable of understanding, the more that person is susceptible to manipulation by those who have chosen to use their abilities in a morally depraved and society-subversive manner. (6)
DO WE HAVE A MORAL DUTY?
“Democracy can be successful only where the following essential factors are present at least amongst 51% of the voters, Morality, Literacy and Socio-Economic-Political Consciousness.
Otherwise it is an instrument to befool the public.” P.R. Sarkar, Propounder of Progressive Utilization Theory (7)
We live on the razor’s edge of our own tendencies. While we may wish to live a “good” life, that desire is constantly challenged by our own personalities and numerous temptations, fears and uncertainties. We can take comfort in the knowledge that it is through meeting and rising above those temptations, we grow and develop as human beings.
LIFE IS A DYNAMIC FLOW – Sarker
That dynamism is a part of life.
It falls on all of us to contribute, according to our ability, to society. Therefore the more aware we are, the more we must be the “saviours” of our own society. While those who are easily manipulated become the prey of the morally depraved, it is really important not to only sit on the sidelines complaining about the state of society.
While on this journey through a seemingly complex bombardment of information on how we “should” live, the onus is on each of us individually to increase our awareness, to “own” our life and behaviours, and depending on the environment in which we find ourselves, to ” stand up and be counted”. It may take courage to do that among our peers. It is well to remember that courage begets courage and can shine a light into the dark corners of our society.
