Romania – Bucharest – Play day with Familia Amurtel

This event is a fun and playful way to get to meet and know the children at the AMURTEL Family home. Discover how you can bring smiles and joy to the children in our care!
You will havae the chance to get to know the children by joining them in their play! We will organize different games and activities, such as arts and crafts, sports, cooking, gardening, yoga for children that you can participate in side by side with the children. It is a fun, relaxing event in which you can catch a glimpse of the children lives while they are in the safety of their own, familiar world, and become a partner in their play.
It is designed to be a fun event for the whole family – so other children are also very welcome!
Program:
11:00 Arrival of guests, tour of the home and outdoor games
11:30 Welcome circle with ice-breaker games
12:00 Play corners – different simultaneous play areas led by Familia AMURTEL caregivers and volunteers
13:00 Circle time – yoga games, songs and a story with Didi
13:30 Lunch time (we invite local guests to bring something to share! )
14:00 Resting time for the children – meanwhile we will gather at the Fountain of Hope After School project to see videos from the children’s summer activities and discuss future plans
16:00 tour of the AMURTEL Bio Garden
17:00 optional – go to Valea Lupului restaurant / hotel (owned by Gopi, the founding mother of the home) for tea and desserts (or dinner!)

Within Europe, you can find cheap flights at RyanAir, WizzAir, BlueAir . For other options, I like to search on Hipmunk. Arrive at Otopeni airport – we recommend arriving the day before. Panatau is about 120 kms northeast of Bucharest.
We will do our best to organize transportation together with myself or Romanian volunteers on Friday evening or Saturday morning for our international guests.
